If you like cute vintage clothes, you probably also like cute vintage jewelry.
There are thousands of excellent, beautiful pieces available on Etsy’s online marketplace from sellers all over the world. One of my favorite Etsy shops is Pretty Vintage Jewelry. I’m partial to vintage bracelets, and Hollee has some lovely finds, like this caramel Bakelite one.
And this funky, colorful charm chain.
Check out the rest of Hollee’s selection here.
NEXT, you might like these vintage jewelry pieces from my shop:
The most expensive piece is the Native American silver ring ($40), and most of the others are under $10. Clicking on the photo will take you to my vintage jewelry selection in my shop, where you can also find lots of cute vintage clothes (if I do say so myself).
Enjoy.

♥ ♥ ♥ I love this vintage silk dress ♥ ♥ ♥
I think Betty could have worn it when she entertained Don’s co-workers (with the Heineken) in the first (or was it second?) season of Mad Men. That was in 1960, and women were still wearing post-war “New Look” designs like this in the real world.
The New Look, developed by Christian Dior, was a reaction to the World War II rationing and frugality mentality. Whereas wartime dresses for women were narrow and conservative to save fabric (and reflect the somber mood of the times), the New Look flourished in the 1950s, when affluence and easy living made a comeback.
This dress is 100% silk and made in Stockholm in the 1950s. It’s a bonus that the color is mustard, one of Pantone’s hot hues for Fall 2011. Beautifully constructed, and shown with a crinoline underneath. It’s sold with a vintage silk scarf in black, white and purple as an accent.
For sale here. $110. Size small. Click here for more vintage dresses from Chronologie Fine Vintage.

I made this skirt for one of my lovely Canadian readers. It’s a custom knee skirt made from my original design. Thank you, dear bloggie friend!
I used pieces from nine or ten different cotton knit garments for this original design. The waistband is made from a pair of Tommy Hilfiger sweat pants.
Everything is post-consumer, recycled material that I’ve cleaned to within an inch of its life and put together carefully on my thirty-year-old sewing machine.
I made another skirt very much like this—same colors and styling—for a second customer who liked it and ordered on it her size.

Amelie Sweater in Cashmere and Felted Merino, Size M, Blue Kimono Studio
Is it warm yet?
Two hours after taking the dogs for a morning walk, my legs are still thawing out. There’s a blanket of ice in my yard, and the doors on my Subaru are frozen shut.
The stores are stocking bathing suits, but I still need sweaters—wool sweaters!
And I’m still making sweaters for my recycled clothing shop, Blue Kimono Studio.
Here are a few of my favorites sweaters. Some are my own, and some are from other Etsy sellers.
I’m proud of the one at the top of my post. It was featured on Etsy’s Front Page on December 28.
Burgundy Heather Pullover, Size M-L, $75 USD, RagaissanceWear.
Ella Pullover Sweater with Recycled Cashmere, Size L, $168, Foundry Designs
Sara Sweater in Felted Wool and Stripes, Size M, $118 USD, Blue Kimono Studio
Orange Merino Felted Pullover, Size S-M, $90 USD, RagaissanceWear.
Ella Pullover in Felted Cream, Taupe and Cocoa Wool, Size S, $168, Foundry Designs.
Amory Sweater in Wool and Felted Merino, $118, Size L, Blue Kimono Studio.
How about you? Are you ready for spring yet, or are you still pulling out your woolens?
Have a warm and colorful weekend…love,
Sallymandy
I found this cute weekly planner page free at Modish, a great site with resources for people growing creative businesses. Sorry, I can’t figure out how to show you a full size version, but if you click the Modish link above, you can download the planner (free), then print and just write on it.
(It’s especially fun that she’s made “Nap/Coffee” after lunch each day a permanent feature.)
Here’s a sample of how I’m using the planner this week. The colors and graphics somehow encourage me to think I get to do these things rather than I have to do these things.
London artist Esther Coombs, who created this, is an artist after my own heart. That’s because she refashions old stuff into beautiful new stuff. In her case, it’s vintage china and tableware upon which she works her magic. Check out her site here.
Thank you, Esther! I love your calendar and your work.
